Aussie Skate Program Enrolment Information
The Aussie Skate Program is a nationally accredited program which is a fun, challenging and rewarding program for all ages and abilities.
Aussie Skate offers you all the basic skills of ice skating in preparation for moving onto other ice sports such as Hockey, Synchronised Skating, Ice Dancing and Speed Skating.
We offer nationally accredited coaches who are passionate and experienced ice skaters from a variety of backgrounds.
Each week you will have a 25 minute lesson where your coach will provide up close and personal training to each group of no more than 8 students. The remaining 90 minutes can be used for free skating and practise on the ice. Parents and siblings not enrolled in lessons can skate in the free skate area but a $10
entry fee each week applies so please see reception to make your payment and obtain a skate hire ticket if you require skates.
Lessons run for 7 weeks during the school terms on the below days:
Wednesday’s 4pm – 6pm
Saturday’s 10am – 12pm (ice cut) then 12:15pm – 1:15pm
NOTE: During the 12:15pm – 1:15pm timeslot there is NO free skating lane.
The last week of Terms 1 & 3 will be our fun Competition days. Whilst it is not compulsory we like to encourage our skaters to participate as it gives skaters the opportunity to show case what they have learnt during the term but most of all its about having fun! Each skater performs a 2-minute routine which is taught to them in the last couple of weeks of the term. All competitors receive a medal and a certificate for their efforts which is awarded during prize giving at the end of the competition. One lucky skater will be awarded our ‘Most Improved Skater’ Trophy and one extra lucky skater will receive a scholarship which entitles them to re-enrol the following term FREE, value=$200
Please Note: Competitions will only be held in Terms 1 & 3 during 2017.
You can fast track your lessons by taking a second class each week or take another class type such as [synchronised, pairs or dance classes] following the completion of the Intermediate levels. An additional fee applies
